Disaster Recovery services
Intellect IT is excited to offer new disaster recovery services that until now have only been affordable to the large corporates.

Backup server subscription         Tape backup recovery testing

These revolutionary disaster recovery services are catered specifically for the needs of Small Businesses, helping to minimise the risk of systems failure in a proven and cost effective manner.

  • What will do you if all your documents and email are not accessible for days ...or lost forever?

  • Imagine if your server crashed and you find there's at least a weeks wait for replacement parts?

  • How confident are you that your can recover 100% from your backups?

Large organisations go to great lengths to ensure these risks are minimised through various methods including dedicated off-site backup servers and tape drives. This often costs well over $50,000 per year and only includes a single annual recovery test.

At Intellect IT, we are able to offer the same peace of mind at a fraction of the cost through the following services:

Backup server subscription

server.thumb.jpg In case of your server failure, Intellect IT is able to offer a temporary replacement server for your site within a matter of hours.

Sometimes spare parts can take days to procure. You needn't be out of action for days on end ever again. In the event of a disaster we can restore your data in minimal timeframe with least possible disruption to your business. This server will be brought to your existing site or to a temporary workplace in the event that your office is unable to be occupied.

Backup server subscriptions start at $100 ex GST per month, Contact us on 1300 799 165 for further information.

Tape backup recovery testing

backup.tape.gif Why test your tapes? Backup tapes are used so that the tape is all you would need to recover from a complete disaster. In an event of a disaster, it's detrimental to your business survival that you can recover from your backups.

On regular basis you need to have your tapes tested using external backup system, just like if you were recovering from a major disaster.
See below real world examples of failures to test backup tapes.

Our tape backup recovery testing service consists of the following:

Full system recovery testing
We will verify if your whole system can be recovered from your regular backup, including recovery of emails, documents and operating system files. All we will require from you is the tape media, simulating the worst case scenario when your server or its tape drive are not available and all you are left with is the tape.

We will use our backup infrastructure to recover complete contents of the tape and continue to recover your system using restored data on our backup infrastructure.

Upon completion, you will receive a detailed report of recovery testing including selected samples of recovered data and a time estimate for a complete recovery in an event you have to use it (very useful to know just how long exactly you will be down if a disaster strikes).

Comprehensive backup recovery testing prices start at $799 ex GST per test for Small Business Servers, Contact us on 1300 799 165 for further information.

Partial files testing
Partial files testing is a basic approach to determining if the documents on your backups are readable and recoverable, which is sufficient if your are only concerned about your ability to recover individual documents rather then the whole system.

Just like in the comprehensive testing, we will only require the tape media from you. We will use our backup infrastructure, just like if your server or tape drive was not operational, to recover pre-selected contents of the tape to ensure its readable and recoverable. You will receive a detailed report of recovery testing including selected samples of recovered data for your reference.

Selective recovery testing prices starts at $530 ex GST per test, Contact us on 1300 799 165 for further information.
